Between Work and Play

So… I’ve come to the decision that having a blog is fairly useless in the land of Twitter and Facebook… I mean, I pretty much share my thoughts and fun links on Twitter and they auto-post to facebook. I have no interesting things to say or write about. So… yeah. Why should I keep my Blog? I like looking back on what’s been going on, it has a history but other than that why bother? Anyone?

Maybe when I become a dad I’ll have more to write about? Heh, but be less motivated and more tired.

Wow… it’s like a black hole of puzzly-fun.

Still cooler than a Netbook

Before I teach you this fun trick, I want to cover some common things I’ve been wondering and found out the answer to after RTFM.

1. To turn the caps lock on, double tap the shift key, seems simple, but I didn’t figure it out on my own.

2. You can type a period and an auto spca after it by double-tapping the space bar.

On with the trick!

Today I’m going to teach you something I learned by mistake while trying to reset my iPod.

If you hold down the home button and then tap the sleep/wake button you will take a screenshot of whatever is showing at the time.

This is a really quick and dirty way of making yourself a nice desktop when you don’t have a beautiful wife who knows Photoshop handy.

For example, I took a screenshot of the shirt.woot.com for this month and used it until Vanessa could make me a proper background.
